Day 1 of Weight Watchers Pro Points

So today I started Weight Watchers and I must say I obviously eat too much sugar or something usually as I have the makings of a massive headache that I am trying to keep at bay.

It is going well so far. I actually get 39 pro points at the moment until I lose some weight which I think I will struggle to eat but I am going to try my hardest anyway.

So far I have learnt that if you actually eat breakfast you are hungry a lot sooner in the day and a tablespoon of peanut butter goes a long way. I easily covered two corn thins with it so that is a bonus. I looooove peanut butter on corn thins it is one of my favourites.

I also must say I am loving the zero points for fruit as well as it makes it easier to fill yourself up without using any of your points.

Does anyone have any good suggestions on recipes or enticing snacks? I am certainly interested!

  1. Good on you Trina, I enjoy Weight Watchers and I have tonnes of recipes. My tip for lunch is a woolworths low fat tortilla with 2 slices of ham, extra light n tasty cheese slice, tomato, capsicum, red onion, olives and a squeeze of tomato sauce. Put it in the sandwich press or omit the tomato sauce and add lettuce for a wrap. All for 6 points and I'm pretty full.

  2. Hey Trina, I just stumbled upon your blog. I'm also a Weight Watchers fan, I have had a long history of doing it on and off but rejoined under the new ProPoints plan this year and am giving it a (fairly) good go. I joined in January with 17.7 to lose and I have 10 left to go of that. I have really stalled over the last 8 weeks or so and am just getting back into the swing of things now.

My tip for finding good recipes is to go onto the Weight Watchers site. They have HEAPS of recipes and feature new ones every now and then.

For snacks I also like corn thins, or even cruskits with philly cheese and a drizzle of honey, I find snacking on grapes helps curb the sugar cravings, skinny cappucinos are also good and the Kellogg's K-time bars are great for only 2 points each as well.

Good luck on your journey, I'm looking foward to following your progress.
